Andson Biotech Secures $5.0M in Funding to Accelerate Commercialization, Expand Product Portfolio

ATLANTA, October 21, 2025 – Andson Biotech, a pioneering biotools company transforming mass spectrometry workflows, today announced the successful close of a $4.7 million round of funding. The investment will support the company’s ongoing commercial expansion, scale manufacturing of its flagship DynaChipTM platform, and enable further development of new tools for advanced biotherapeutics.

“This funding demonstrates a strong conviction in the Andson Biotech team from our core investors who understand what it takes to build and scale a successful biotools company,” said Mason Chilmonczyk, CEO and Co-Founder of Andson Biotech. “We have an effective team that is a blend of young talent and industry veterans that has gone from prototype to product in 12 months.”

Chilmonczyk added that “scaling the DynaChipTM platform will bring greater speed and capacity to clients seeking to streamline mass spectrometry. The platform uses advanced microfluidics and a novel active-sample-treatment to separate, isolate, and amplify crucial biomolecules and macromolecules from complex biological matrices.”

Andson Biotech also announced today the award of a $300,000 SBIR Phase 1 grant from the National Institutes of Health to help develop a cutting-edge tool that strengthens quality control of advanced cell-based biotherapeutics. The tool is designed to enhance real-time monitoring and discovery of critical quality attributes in manufacturing.

“This grant marks a significant milestone for Andson Biotech,” said Casey Vantucci, Ph.D., Senior Scientist at Andson Biotech and the Principal Investigator for the grant. “Our goal is to empower biomanufacturers with real-time data that enhances control, scalability, and ultimately, patient outcomes.”

The NIH SBIR award underscores the growing recognition of Andson Biotech’s innovative contributions to the field. As the company continues to push the boundaries of cell-based therapy manufacturing, its progress is being recognized by industry leaders. “Andson’s progress since its founding at Georgia Tech in 2022 has been remarkable,” said Tom O’Brien, Co-Founder of Axion Biosystems and Executive Chairman of the Board at Andson Biotech. “Their technology is more than innovative — it’s essential for the future of biomanufacturing. It’s exciting to work with the Andson team to help solve the critical problem of sample preparation for the mass spectrometry market.”
